I have always been fascinated by the lives of famous people from long ago, none more so than the great Roman leader, Julius Caesar and the brave warrior Boudicca.
Julius Caesar led a dangerous life but he can also be thanked for introducing the calendar we use today. Ultimately he made himself very unpopular, resulting in being stabbed to death.
Boudicca has long been one of our greatest heroines, challenging the powerful Roman army and burning their towns such as Colchester. A bronze statue of Boudicca can be seen on Westminster Bridge, London.
