English: Revising Nouns

English: Revising Nouns
Much of the work on nouns is completed in Key Stage 1 but it is well worth reminding children in Key Stage 2 what nouns are and some of the special types of noun. This week we have published a new set of pages looking at four special types of noun:
A proper noun has a capital letter and is the name a particular person, place or thing.
A collective noun is a word used to describe a group of objects.
An abstract noun is a thing that you cannot see, touch, taste, hear or smell.
A compound noun is a noun made up of at least two other words.
