We have had several requests for some material on doubling and halving, so, here they are! Four great sets of worksheets, each of four pages, on doubling small numbers (up to 10) suitable for Year 1 and another four on halving. They begin by looking at doubling and halving numbers of shapes (not to be confused with halving a shape itself) and move on to numbers. The ultimate aim is for children to know off by heart all the doubles of numbers up to 10 and their corresponding halves. By knowing we mean being able to answer instantly, just as quickly as if they had been asked their name!! Wow!!
