What's New: Thick and thin, comparing size
Early measurement is all about comparisons. Long beforeĀ starting to use standard units of measurement such as metres, children need to be able to make sensible comparisons. For this set of worksheets the comparisons are all to do with measurement, using the terms thick, thicker, thickest and thin, thinner and thinnest. Remember, thickest and thinnest should only be used when there are more than two objects to compare.
Whilst worksheets are useful for this kind of work, nothing beats some good practical activities. get some books out and compare the thickness of them. See which crayon will draw the thickest line and so on!
Our measurement worksheets can all be found in the Further Resources section, under Shape and Measure.
