Some excellent stuff coming over the next two weeks as we concentrate on Measurement and Handling Data.  In week 6 we have some great ideas for sorting using dominoes. There are a huge range of ways of using dominoes to count, sort, match etc and are well worth having as a resource for young children. We continue with using non standard measures which concentrate on estimating and comparing as well as using standard measures such as the kilogram and litre. Two excellent pages ask children to choose the most appropriate unit of measurement. Bed times are always an issue and we present a fun pictogram on bedtimes which is a good starting point for collecting data as well as a block graph on favourite drinks.
