Partitioning 2-digit numbers
The Primary Framework for Mathematics makes quite a thing of partitioning numbers. Partitioning means splitting into smaller parts. It is important, for example, to realise that 40 is made up of 10 + 10 + 10 + 10.
The ability to partition numbers helps enormously with mental arithmetic and these pages help with this as they look at different ways of partitioning the same numbers.
