Addition challenge
This week we are publishing a slightly different challenge. A number sentence is presented with most of the digits missing and the challenge is to complete the number sentence correctly as many different ways as possible. In fact there are a limited number of solutions. The units digit has to be 9 to make the units in the answer zero.
This is good practice at addition and understanding place value as well as seeing patterns in numbers.
When giving this sort of activity always look for a well organised logical approach so that the same answers are not repeated.
