Although it might appear straightforward, reflective symmetry can prove to be very tricky for many children, especially those with poor spacial awareness. These symmetry worksheets ask children to colour the other side of a mirror line to make a symmetrical pattern. It is very easy to get this wrong by just repeating the pattern rather than reflecting it, so it is a good idea to have a small mirror that can be placed along the line for the child to see the reflected pattern.
