It's the start of a brand new term, in a brand new year and we have a great set of resources to help get you under way. This week the mental arithmetic concentrates on counting and place value and the challenge is a fun activity with four darts scoring. We also have pages on: reading and writing 3-digit numbers revising counting back, crossing the tens boundary answering written questions using the 2x, 5x and 10x tables partitioning 2-digit numbers understanding that subtraction is the inverse of addition understanding that multiplication can be done in any order. These pages are quite tricky for many children and it is always worth remembering that you can look back at earlier year 2 maths resources, or our full range of worksheets, to find suitable material.
