We continue with another great set of resources for Week 17 of the Primary Framework. We have four sets of ten mental arithmetic questions, concentrating on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and money. There are many ways you go go about using these questions. Often it is a good idea to have a set of number cards that children can hold up to give the answer. We also have great pages on using patterns in numbers to complete number squares, recalling pairs of multiples of 5 which total 100,  and recalling multiplication facts to answer division problems. Some of the hardest pages are the solving word problems involving multiplication. At this stage we keep to just the 2x, 5x and 10x tables. These weekly programmes of work are great if you are short of time and want a wide selection of resources for the week. Altogether there will be 36 weeks, reflecting three terms of 12 weeks, and we are coming up to the middle of the second term. Half term soon! Go to our Week 17 programme.
