Year 2 maths resources: Week 23
This week our sets of mental arithmetic questions concentrate on addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. We still keep to simple fractions, including halves and quarters, but three quarters is also introduced. To find three quarters of an amount requires two steps; finding one quarter and multiplying by 3 (or finding one quarter and taking it away from the whole, leaving three quarters.) As such it is a much harder skill to learn and many children struggle with this.
We also have plenty of other maths worksheets including how to play a simple version of Nim, completing division number sentences, solving problems and doubling and halving. Plenty to keep you going this week, if you are in Year 2.
If this all proves too tricky, why not have a look at our Year 1 weekly programme?
