Graphs and Pictograms for Year 2
Here we have some more ideas for work on graphs and pictograms. The first page looks at a survey done by Class 2G showing the number of brothers and sisters. The results are in graph form with questions. The second page provides a blank block graph for children to use when they have completed their own survey.
There is also a pictogram on the colour of 2B's toothbrushes. This is a simple pictogram to interpret as each picture represents just one toothbrush. There is also a blank pictogram for them to record their own survey results. Before starting this one it is a good idea to ask children to check what colour their toothbrushes are, as often they cannot remember!
