Year 3 maths worksheet: Missing numbers (4x table)
This set of maths worksheets, suitable for year 3, looks at the 4x table. The questions are laid out in pairs, each covering a part of the 4x table and the missing numbers have to be filled in. This should also help with the idea that multiplication can be done in any order, so 4 x 3 = 12 as does 3 x 4.
Whilst most of the numbers can be filled in twice from the 4 times table, there is one exception;
? x ? = 16
which of course is 4 x 4. But this cannot be reversed so the obvious possible second answer would be 2 x 8, 8 x 2 or even 16 x 1. Several of the other answers could use numbers not found in the four times table and they would be perfectly acceptable answers.
