Reading and writing very large numbers
This set of worksheets looks at very large numbers, up to and including millions and is much harder than it first appears! The questions have all the numbers and operations written in words. These need to be keyed into the calculator to give a result. The resulting digits then need to be rewritten in words. To be successful children will need a very good understanding of place value and how to read numbers up to millions. It is a good idea to write the calculation in digits before entering it into the calculator as it is very easy to make a mistake at this stage.
Remember that numbers are grouped into threes:
hundreds tens and units
hundreds tens and units of thousands
hundreds tens and units of millions.
