Maths board game: Seven Line
I am convinced that playing board games with children helps with developing logical thinking and mathematical concepts and that it is one of the most valuable things that you can do with children.
This game is very simple, but there is no guarantee that you will win unless careful thought is given. It is a game for two players, using 7 counters in total. The player going first places either one or two counters on the line (in the circles). If two counters are placed they must be next to each other and this rule continues throughout the game.
The second player then places one or two counters and the game continues until all the counters have been placed and the row completed.
The winner is the player who places the last counter, or counters, on the line to complete it.
Option: make placing the last counter the loser.
Obviously if one counter is placed each time the winner will be the player going first, but it gets more complicated. Why not try it?
