In the fourth week of our year 3 weekly planning we are aiming to: 1. Learn the 3 times table 2. Revise the 2x, 5x and 10x tables 3. Understand division is the inverse of multiplication 4. Divide by 3 6. Solve division word problems 7. Make 2D shapes from rectangles and triangles The activities in the programme are just a small sample of the wide selection we have available. By now children should be quite confident with the 2x, 5x and 10x tables and the next step is to learn off by heart the three times table. This is not as easy as the pattern of numbers is less obvious.
