More Venn diagrams
Venn diagrams were introduced in 1880 by John Venn. They are a means of sorting data, often numbers, shapes or animals. They are usually are made up of overlapping circles. Inside a named circle represents being in the set. Outside the circle means that the item is not part of the set. The overlapping part of the circles is where the item belongs in both sets. Where an item does not belong in either set it should be placed outside the circles.
These two pages look at sorting numbers depending on odd and even or being part of a times table. It is important to have a good knowledge of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and 10x tables to complete this. Probably best suited to children in Year 3 and up.
