Year 3 Programme: Week 29
We are well into the Summer Term now and this week's programme reflects the progress that children will have made this year. It starts with a brief look at multiples of 50 and also includes adding multiples of 100.
Fractions will often cause children problems and we have two sets of pages covering ordering decimal fractions and finding fractions of numbers.
Another important concept which we look at is understanding angle as a measurement of turn and recognising right angles. This is not always as easy as it sounds, especially when the lines of the right angle are not horizontal and vertical. A good way to check for a right angle is to take the corner of a piece of paper and see if it fits exactly inside the angle. Too small and it is an acute angle; too large and it is an obtuse angle (up to 180 degrees which is two right angles).
