Counting in fours, eights and fifties
The new Maths Programme of Study for Maths for year 3 states that children should be taught to count in multiples of 4, 8, 50 and 100. We have many counting worksheets, but not specifically on counting in fours, eights and fifties; so we thought that now was the time to add these resources.
With a little help from cats (with four legs) and spiders (with 8 legs) there are some quite tricky counting activities, starting from various different numbers.
We have also added a set of pages looking at counting up and down in fifties. Counting is often best done as an oral activity and children should quickly see the patterns involved and become confident with counting up and down out loud.
