More idioms: food and colours Food provides a rich source of idioms, or sayings, although the meanings may not have anything at all to do with food!  ‘Pie in the sky’ and ‘Had your chips’ are just two such sayings. We have taken a closer look at some of these sayings with our latest set of worksheets, which are both informative and fun. We have even left a little space for some cartoon drawings of idioms such as, ‘His eyes are bigger than his stomach’!
