Coin matching and coin fans. Number lines and number tracks are an essential part of modern maths teaching, and we have a good selection of these on the site, under the Further Resources category. Not only this but we also have number cards and number fans. Our most recent additions to these are sets of coin dominoes and money fans. The dominoes can be printed on card and cut out. They are great for coin recognition, matching coins to the amounts shown as well as playing a simplified version of dominoes. Many teachers use number fans with their classes so that all children can show the answers by holding up the cards, rather than just one of the children answering verbally. This hugely increases active participation in the classroom and the teacher can quickly see who has given the correct answer.
