Halloween worksheets
Halloween worksheets.
We are well into Autumn now and with less than a week before the clocks go back it won’t be long before winter is here. Before that however, is the increasingly popular celebration of Halloween. As usual we mark the occasion my making free a selection of great worksheets, all with a ghostly, witch-like theme.
These can be found in our Maths, ‘Further Resources’, ‘Special Occasions’ category and there is something for everyone.
For very young children we have counting and matching with a Halloween theme.
There are Halloween Number Problems worksheets, putting a number through the x4 and +5 cauldrons to see what comes out. A recipe for broth, roughly based on Shakespeare’s three witches is a favourite, with a touch of ratio involved. Also, a fun witches’ cauldron theme can help with partitioning 3-digit numbers.
The ‘Maths Spells’ worksheet is great for practising multiplication and addition with a Halloween theme.
Much trickier is our ‘four ghosts’ problem. Using just four fours and the usual mix of signs, what numbers can be made? A good investigation for older children.
Finally we also have something slightly different which can be found in our English , ‘Further resources’, ‘Special occasions’ category. This worksheet looks at vocabulary connected to Halloween with fun activities and a word list to help with story writing. Look out for more in this category in the future.
Hurry: these free pages will only be available until the end of the month.
