Year 6 Division activities
Year 6 Division activities
If you are looking for material which really consolidates division then our latest published games for year 6 will be just the job. The four games practice activities are:
Giving a remainder as a whole number
Giving a remainder as a fraction
Giving a quotient as a decimal fraction
Rounding answers to division to the nearest whole number
The term quotient is expected to be understood by primary children as: the answer when one number is divided by another. e.g. ‘The quotient of 12 and 4 is 3’. We have a great game where children are asked to find the quotient when dividing by 100. All the answers in our practice exercise will include decimals (e.g. 667 ÷ 100 = 6.67).
As with most of our on-screen activities a printable copy of both questions and answers is given after 10 questions have been completed. These are an excellent way to provide evidence of understanding.
Remember, you do need the Flash Player to play these games.
