Year 4 weekly programme
Good news! The next set of 6 weekly programmes are now available for Year 4. There’s plenty to look forward to this half term with a really mixed selection of activities.
Week 19 takes a look at counting in steps of 25, using negative numbers, solving word problems by multiplying by 10, 100, 1000 and revising the 11x table. There are also further pages on short division, Roman numerals and, of course, mental arithmetic.
In Week 20 fractions play an important part, with pages on equivalent fractions, converting fractions to decimals and subtracting fractions with the same denominator. There is also work on rounding and calculating mentally using known facts.
Counting, finding more or less and estimating all play an important part in Week 21. Solving single step word problems, multiplication using the formal written method and dividing by 11 are also included.
A change of focus in Week 22, as we look at co-ordinates, symmetry and angle as well as the properties of 3-D shapes. To keep up with the number work we also have pages on written subtraction and mental arithmetic.
In Week 23 we take a look at perimeter, and graphs as well as adding several numbers mentally, estimating answers to 3-digit subtraction and using the formal written method of addition.
Finally, in Week 24 we look back at counting, rounding and decimal fractions as well as finding the area of simple shapes and multiplication.
