Zoo animals: factual writing and comprehensions at 3 levels We are often asked to provide English worksheets which are related to other parts of the curriculum or can be used as part of a topic and we are steadily increasing such resources, especially with animals. Previously we have published material on pets and British wild animals. This week we have published four great fact sheets on zoo animals; zebras, meerkats, pygmy hippos and giant pandas. The fact sheets provide over 25 interesting facts about each animal. They are in note form for children to use as a starting point to write a detailed report, in paragraphs on each of the animals. The same four animals are also the subjects of our most recent comprehension sets. Each animal has three pieces of writing about them with great illustrations. The writing and questions are at three levels, ideal for a mixed ability class. They are also an excellent starting point for further research.
