Multiplication pyramid (Year 6) Something new this week for Year 6: number pyramids. The number in each box is the product of the two numbers below it. Some of the numbers are missing. This involves division as much as multiplication and is a fun way to practise these two skills. It is important that children understand the term ‘product’ in maths (the result of multiplying, not adding) and I would not be surprised if something similar came up in this year’s SAT Papers.
