Wimbledon is the oldest tennis championship in the world and has been played since 1877 at the ‘All England Club’ in Wimbledon, London. In the early days it was men only, but ladies first entered in 1884. The most famous names in tennis history have all won Wimbledon, including Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Virginia Wade, Steffi Graff and the Williams sisters.
We have collected some data together to draw a variety of bar charts based on the success of these stars as well as a tricky ‘How many ways?’ problem on how a set ending 6:4 might have proceeded.
