Year 1 Number updates At this time of the year there are many young children who are still coming to grips with counting on and back in ones, and they need as much practice as possible. Of course, much of this will be done practically but there are also opportunities to use images on paper and we have an extensive collection of pages covering all aspects of counting in Year 1. These include counting and matching, counting on and back in ones, twos, fives and tens, using number lines and tracks and estimating. Our most recent pages include counting up in fives and some great counting up to 20 with themes including bees, ladybirds and spiders. For the most able we also have published new worksheets on counting to and across one hundred and odd and even numbers. We have a wonderful collection of over 100 sets of colourful worksheets covering counting in Year 1, as well as our extensive new on-screen counting activities for those who would rather input answers on a keypad.
