Fairy Tales: The Princess and the Pea Being acquainted with traditional fairy tales is an important part of the KS1 programme of study. This includes reading stories, talking about plot and characters, retelling stories and writing their own simple tales. We have just begun to publish our first material on the fairy tale, ‘The Princess and the Pea,’ which includes the story, sequencing activities, cloze procedures, comprehension and story writing.
