Hanukkah
Hanukkah, which means ‘dedication’ in Hebrew, is a Jewish festival that is also known as Chanukah, the Festival of Lights, the Feast of Dedication and the Feast of the Maccabees. It begins on the 25th of Kislev, the ninth month of the Hebrew calendar which is usually in November or December in the Gregorian calendar, and it lasts for eight days. This year it starts on Sunday 18th December.

We also have a Hanukkah activity page, with a hanukkiya to colour in during the festival.
