New Year 6 SATs Arithmetic Practice
Each year we closely study the KS2 Maths SAT Papers to see if any significant changes have been made. The 2022 Paper was very similar to past papers but there were some questions covering different areas of maths or laid out in a different way than before. To enable children taking the tests this year to be as familiar as possible with these differences we have just published 6 new sets of practice pages based on the 2022 Arithmetic Paper.
- Add 3 numbers (4C2)
- Subtract multiples of 1,000 (5C2)
- Divide 4-digit numbers by 2 (4C6b)
- Use place value and known facts to divide (4C6b)
- Multiply a decimal by 10, 100, 1,000 (6F9a)
- Find fractions of amounts (5F5)
It is clear from these questions that many marks can be gained from questions based around the Years 4 and 5 Programme of Study and it is important that children pick up these easier marks to achieve their best possible score. Our ‘Booster’ resources are a tremendous resource with more than enough practice questions to help all children.
