‘Buy one and get the second half price,’ is an offer often seen in our high street shops. Whether its sausage rolls, cakes, soap or ice creams we have just published a great set of resources looking at this special offer and working out the total cost.

Questions like this do come up in the Year 6 SAT Papers, and indeed something similar was in last year’s paper, and it is worth marking these in the same way: one mark for the correct answer and one mark for showing an appropriate method of calculating.
