In year 5 children will recap the work done in Year 4 on coordinate grids and reading and plotting points. Be prepared for children confusing the x and y values and they may well need some assistance in how to read and write coordinates of given points e.g. ‘along the corridor and up the stairs’. They will also take another look at translating shapes and describing the translation that has taken place. We have just published two more sets of pages on this; well worth a look.
