2024 KS2 Maths SAT Papers
We have just published this years KS2 Maths SAT Papers, with full answers. As usual there were three papers, one Arithmetic Paper and two Reasoning Papers. You do not need a paid subscription to use these test papers. The questions followed the same pattern as previous years.
The Arithmetic Paper starts with 13 questions covering the four rules of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. After this, the questions become much harder, with multiplying and adding fractions and working with larger numbers, including numbers in the millions.
The first Reasoning Paper includes questions using tables and graphs as well as finding missing numbers in sequences and written calculations. There is quite a leap in difficulty when question 17 is reached, the first of the 2-mark questions. It requires three stages to reach an answer; quite unusual in the test papers.
A similar increase in difficulty occurs in the second Reasoning Paper. Question 10 requires 4 different sides of a shape to be measured with a ruler, in millimetres, and then the totals added - all for just one mark. Also, to answer Question 13 five different calculations need to be completed, which is very unusual.
