Some tricky number problems are the subject of our new Year 2 worksheets. These will test children’s comprehension, as well as their addition and subtraction skills. To reach a correct answer each question involves a subtraction followed by an addition. Finding what to do is probably the hardest part of these questions.

In Year 2 addition and subtraction of 2-digit numbers are key areas, with children expected to develop a secure knowledge of addition facts to 20. This knowledge will then be used to work with numbers up to 100.
