The Romans are an important topic in primary schools and the subject is of great interest to many children. To help with this we have just published an excellent set of comprehensions based on the Roman invasion of Britain.

They include:

Julius Caesar’s Invasions. The events of the first and second invasions by Julius Caesar, starting in 55 BC.

The Roman Invasion by Claudius. Comprehensions and factsheet on the invasion by Claudius in AD 43.

Hadrian’s Wall. The building of a wall across northern Britain to stop the Romans from being attacked from the north. This wall marked the most northerly part of the Roman Empire and you can still see much of it today.
