Multiplication in Year 6
Whilst it is hoped that children in Year 5 have mastered the formal method of long multiplication, they will still need plenty of practice if they are going to remember the process in Year 6 and for SATs. This practice will often take the form of multiplying numbers with up to four digits, such as 2,345 × 67. It may be that children will need to practice the method using smaller numbers.
This knowledge of how to multiply is then put to good use by solving problems and answering written questions of the kind often seen on the SAT Papers. Our Booster worksheets are ideal for this kind of practice.
