We have just published another excellent set of pages on calculating the perimeter of shapes. When doing this, different strategies can be used by children, as not all the lengths of sides are given. They also need to make sure that all the sides have been counted and it might be a good idea to use a stem sentence to record, such as;

...... cm + ...... cm + ...... cm + ...... cm + ...... cm + ...... cm = ...... cm
