Year 1 new resources: doubling

Children will begin to learn about doubling in Year 1. At first they will use real objects to make doubles, leading on to adding two equal quantities together. An important part of this work is that children begin to use the language of doubling; e.g. ‘double 3 is 6’, keeping to single digit numbers.
We have just published 3 super new sets of worksheets on doubling. The first two look at drawing double the number of objects shown and then progressing to showing a set of shapes which has already been doubled and working out how many shapes there were before the doubling took place.
The third page takes an old favourite; writing double the amount of money shown, but with images of our fabulous new coins.
Doubling small amounts of money is also available in Euros.
