KS2 English Grammar: Correcting Sentences

Our latest set of worksheets in the English Grammar category concentrates on distinguishing between formal and informal language and non-standard forms of English.
Various examples are looked at, including ‘double negatives’, where two negative words are used in the same sentence. For example, “I didn’t do nothing.”
Other errors to be spotted include mixing up ‘I’ and “me”, using ‘what’ instead of ‘who’ and incorrect use of verbs. For example, “I were going out but it started to rain.”
