Year 6: Compare Large Numbers
Gattegno charts have become more popular in primary schools as a way to help children with their place value skills. They are great for learning place value because they can show numbers increasing in a variety of ways. The ones we have just published for Year 6 show numbers increasing in ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, ten-thousands and hundred-thousands. If you have not used these charts before they are well worth considering.
