Year 3 Money
We have just published some tricky problem solving pages involving money; just right for Year 3. The questions involve two steps to reach the correct answer. Step 1 is to find how much has been spent. The second step is to find items that add up to that amount. Look out for children who intelligently use their knowledge of number to help solve these questions.
For example, if 50p has been spent, then the ones in the pence must add up to 10. Items costing amounts such as 26p and 32p can be safely ignored.
