New Year 2 Number Bonds to 100 Add and Subtract 1s

Adding and subtracting ones from a given number may seem very straightforward but it is important that children are confident with this and that they can make the connection between adding 1 and adding 2 or other single digit numbers.

We have used rekenreks to help with this. These are calculating frames used in many schools to help children understand numbers.
