Reception: Introducing zero

Children will already have an understanding of ‘nothing’ or ‘none’ and in Reception they will be shown that the number name for nothing is ‘zero’ and it can also be shown as the numeral ‘0’. There are plenty of counting down to zero songs and other opportunities to use zero and we have just published two new sets of pages to help with this.
