Year 6: Area of Triangles
These worksheets introduce children to finding the area of triangles by counting squares. At first, they will only have to count whole squares and half squares, combining the two to find the total area. A step on from this is to count half or more of a square as one and to ignore anything less than a half. This will give a good estimate of the area. The formula for finding the area of a triangle is not introduced at this stage, but we also have plenty of resources covering this.
