Year 4: Improper Fractions
When children are confident with the idea that a fraction can be more than one whole one (mixed numbers), they can be introduced to improper fractions. Our latest worksheets begin by looking at fractions as whole numbers. For example, 8 quarters is equal to 2 whole ones. This leads onto visual representations of whole ones and fractions of a whole which can be shown as an improper fraction. Well worth a look!
