Year 1: Money: Unitising (all denominations)
‘Unitising’ is a term which has become popular in schools over the last few years. It is used when groups containing or representing the same number of things can be treated as ones. Coins are by far the best examples of unitising. A ten pence coin represents 10 one pence coins.
