The National Curriculum has a very clear development over the years when it comes to numbers.

In Year 6 children work with numbers up to 10,000,000.

In Year 5 it is numbers up to 1,000,000.

In Year 4, numbers up to 10,000.

In Year 3, numbers up to 1,000.
