Counting two sets - monkeys and gorillas
Perhaps the earliest practice of addition is when children count two sets of objects to make one total. We have a fantastic set of counting worksheets, counting monkeys and gorillas, but the numbers only go up to 5. Use these in conjunction with objects at home, eg counting red and blue counters, or the numbers on two dice, to make sure your child becomes really sharp with counting and understanding the term, 'How many altogether?'
